The DNA that waited 30 years.

The DNA that waited 30 years.

A fourteen-year-old girl went out to deliver a birthday card and never returned. For over thirty years, her killer remained free while the crucial evidence incriminating him waited in a lab. What happened to the DNA that could have solved Wendy Jerome's case decades earlier?

In this episode, we analyze the brutal murder of Wendy Jerome in 1984 and how the forensic science of the time was unable to utilize the DNA evidence recovered from the scene. Discover how the wait for technology kept the case unsolved and the killer at large.
