Trial Of Caleb Flynn Day 8: Police Asked Him WHAT About Ashley?

Caleb Flynn’s recorded account of the night Ashley Flynn was killed came under direct questioning as Det. Sgt. Mike Morgan returned to the stand and showed jurors more of Flynn’s police interview.

The video included Flynn drawing a map for investigators to illustrate what he said happened and where. Detectives questioned him about what he heard that woke him and continued probing his description of the night Ashley was killed inside their Tipp City home.

Eventually, an officer stopped circling the central question.

“Did you do this?”

Flynn asked the officer to repeat it. After hearing it again, his answer was “No.”

Detectives also told Flynn that he would be investigated and that evidence would be presented to a grand jury. Flynn continued denying that he harmed Ashley, saying, “I did not touch my wife.”

Flynn has pleaded not guilty to 11 charges, including aggravated murder, in the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege the former American Idol contestant and worship pastor killed Ashley and staged the scene to look like a burglary. The defense says a home intruder killed Ashley and police focused on Caleb too quickly.

This time, jurors aren’t hearing somebody characterize Flynn’s explanation for him. They’re watching the interview and hearing his answers themselves.
