On January 29, 2022, Karen Read dropped off her boyfriend, John O’Keefe, at a house party in Canton, Massachusetts. When she awoke the next morning and found John not in bed, Karen became concerned. She drove around looking for him and eventually made her way to 34 Fairview Rd., the location of the house-party where she’d taken him earlier that morning. Karen screamed upon seeing John’s body lying in the front yard of the home, unconscious and covered in snow. John O’Keefe was dead. A murder investigation ensued, with Karen Read being the primary target. Karen’s defense, however, had a different theory.
