The Abduction of Frank Sinatra Jr. | MURDERISH Ep. 069

The life of a celebrity is often viewed as glamorous, something that you could only dream of achieving. Walking the red carpet, rubbing elbows with A-list celebrities, and hosting lavish parties are all regular occurrences in the life of the rich and famous. This was especially true of Frank Sinatra, singer extraordinaire and mega-celebrity who was connected to a lot of powerful people. Sinatra, known as The Chairman of the Board, had connections to some of the highest seats in government. His fame also led him to be deeply connected with the mob. Sinatra was a huge star, so when his teenage son, Frank Jr., went missing in December of 1963 the world took notice. Did Sinatra’s connections with the mob lead to his son’s abduction, or could this have all been a self-planned ruse for Junior to get out from under his father’s shadow and make a name for himself? Join me as I walk you through the abduction of Frank Sinatra Jr. Check us out: Visit Murderish.com for more info about the show and Creator/Host, Jami. DJ Fickey, FOLLOW-UP | MURDERISH Ep. 21

In this follow-up episode of Murderish, you’ll hear from DJ Fickey’s sister, Amanda. Lisa (host of Eye for an Eye podcast) and I interview Amanda and dive deeper into who DJ was. We also go into more detail about DJ’s case. You’ll recall from “DJ Fickey, Seeking Justice,” episode 20, that DJ’s family strongly believes his death was not a suicide …it was murder. Amanda and her family also believe they know who murdered DJ, and she’ll stop at nothing to get this person to face justice. MURDERISH now has a Patreon page! DJ Fickey, Seeking Justice | MURDERISH Ep. 20

DJ Fickey, Seeking Justice | MURDERISH Ep. 20

A series of three calls came into Walker County 9-1-1 the afternoon of October 3, 2016. The caller said a man shot himself and they needed an ambulance. A woman can be heard wailing and screaming in the background …she’s hysterical. An officer arrives on scene shortly after the third call was finished, and an investigation ensued. However, according to the victim’s family, a bungled investigation, misinformation in official reports, lying witnesses and the fact that all witnesses, and the victim, were drug users …led to an incorrect determination of the manner of death. The victim’s family strongly believes a killer is free and no justice has been served in this case. Join me as I tell the story of Donald Edward Fickey, Jr (“DJ”). MURDERISH now has a Patreon page! Josh Mankiewicz, “Bad Boy” of Dateline | MURDERISH Ep. 019

Josh Mankiewicz, “Bad Boy” of Dateline | MURDERISH Ep. 019

This is a very special episode featuring none other than True Crime Legend, Josh Mankiewicz of Dateline NBC. My good friend, Kari Martin of White Wine True Crime podcast, and I got together with Manks and recorded this episode. We talked about murder, relationships, Dateline episodes, Scott Peterson, childhood …and Eminem even came up during our convo. At the end of the episode, you’re going to hear a little ditty that Kari and I wrote and performed for Josh. Once this episode airs, any dignity and self-respect Kari and I had will have been flushed down the toilet. But I have to say, it was welllllll worth it. MURDERISH now has a Patreon page! Tristan Jensen & Valaree Schwab | MURDERISH Ep. 018

Tristan Jensen & Valaree Schwab | MURDERISH Ep. 018

Tristan Jensen was a young teenager who had his whole life ahead of him. He and his family lived in Redlands California. Unfortunately, he crossed paths with another boy who would end his life much too soon. After police caught up to Tristan’s murderer, JP Remsen, they discovered just how cold, and callous the boy was. Valaree Schwab was a smart and outspoken teenager. According to her family, Valaree was bullied at school for being so outspoken. On what should have been a typical day at school, Valaree and her boyfriend were stalked and followed to a nearby restaurant. The angry mob outside was shouting for Valaree to come outside. She and her boyfriend waited until they thought it was safe, and then exited the restaurant. What happened next would forever change the lives of several teenagers and their families. Tragically, Valaree lost her life.MURDERISH now has a Patreon page! Serial Killer, Darrell Keith Rich | MURDERISH Ep. 017

Darrell Keith Rich, known as “The Hilltop Rapist,” was born on February 14, 1955. Although he was born on Valentine’s Day, this would be no indication of who Rich would become as an adult. This cold-blooded Serial Killer got his name by the manner in which he captured most of his victims.  MURDERISH now has a Patreon page! If you’d like to support the Podcast and get extra perks in exchange, click here: www.patreon.com/murderish  Follow MURDERISH on social media:Facebook: MURDERISH Podcast https://www.facebook.com/groups/540494462961219/     Twitter: @MurderishPod https://twitter.com/MurderishPodInstagram: MurderishPodcastSend comments and advertising inquiries to: MurderishJami@gmail.comMURDERISH merch now available at two online stores (t-shirts, mugs & other stuff):Threadless online store https://murderishpodcast.threadless.com/TeePublic online store http://tee.pub/lic/-c0zMWCpN-IPodcast promos by: It’s Haunted & Suspect Convictions (subscribe, rate & review!).Listener warning at the beginning of the episode provided by: Swindled podcast. This episode was Edited, Mixed and Mastered by John Bukenas of Audio Editing Solutions www.audioeditingsolutions.com. Need a great audio editor? John B. is your guy!Intro/Outro music in this episode created by: Nico Vettese of We Talk of Dreams. Contact Nico at nico@wetalkofdreams.com or www.wetalkofdreams.com if you’re interested in working with him to create music for your podcast …or any project!Murderish is part of the murder.ly True Crime network …”Podcasts to Die for.”Research for this episode provided by: Friend of the Show, Steve Field.Remember, listening to this podcast doesn’t make you a murderer …it just means you’re MURDERISH! The Hendricks Murders | MURDERISH 016

The Hendricks Murders | MURDERISH 016

In November of 1983, a mother and her three children were found “hacked to death” in their Bloomington, Illinois family home. The prime suspect was the husband and father of the victims, David Hendricks. The prosecution would have you believe that David’s religion and desire to pursue other women were motives for the murders. The defense argued that the murders occurred as part of a robbery committed by an intruder, whose bloody footprint was found inside the home. After two trials, a final verdict was reached …and not everyone agrees that justice was served. MURDERISH now has a Patreon page! Justin Hopper Murder FOLLOW-UP | MURDERISH Ep. 15

Justin Hopper Murder FOLLOW-UP | MURDERISH Ep. 15

In an earlier episode of Murderish, I told the story of Justin Hopper’s murder. Justin Hopper was a high school student who was gunned down in cold blood by two of his classmates in a Canyon near Redlands California in the 1990s. In this follow-up episode, I speak with another friend of Justin’s who gives additional perspective on Justin and Ryan Bangs, who was convicted in connection with Justin’s murder (along with co-defendant, Aaron Mercado). Justin’s friend, who requested to remain anonymous, was in contact with Justin in the days leading up to his murder, and she also attended part of the trial that resulted after Justin was killed. If you haven’t listened to the Justin Hopper Murder episode, please do so before listening to this follow-up as it may not make much sense otherwise.    MURDERISH now has a Patreon page! If you’d like to support the Podcast, and get special perks in exchange, click here: www.patreon.com/murderish  Facebook: MURDERISH Podcast https://www.facebook.com/groups/540494462961219/     Twitter: @MurderishPod https://twitter.com/MurderishPodInstagram: MurderishPodcast Send comments and inquiries to: MurderishJami@gmail.com Interested in advertising your company, or podcast, on MURDERISH? Shoot me an email, or click here for more info: https://www.advertisecast.com/MURDERISH MURDERISH merch now available at two online stores (t-shirts, mugs & other cool stuff): Threadless online store https://murderishpodcast.threadless.com/ TeePublic online store http://tee.pub/lic/-c0zMWCpN-I Podcast promos: (subscribe, rate & review)! Contact Nico at nico@wetalkofdreams.com or www.wetalkofdreams.com if you’re interested in working with him to create music for your podcast …or any project!Remember, listening to this podcast doesn’t make you a murderer …it just means you’re murder-ish!
