Chapters Summary: Together with Hypaxia, Ithan travels to Avallen to retrieve Sofie Renast’s body, only to be sent back to Lunathian by Bryce with orders to protect the former witch queen as she develops an antidote for the Asteri’s parasite. After making sure her friends will be save in Avallen, Bryce and Hunt take her parents to the Northern Rift to bargain for the Mask of the Dread Trove, using Ember and Randall as collateral to ensure the Mask’s return to Prythian. Meanwhile, Ruhn, Lidia, and his friends search for Isaiah and Naomi to update the pair on recent events, and Hypaxia successfully creates a short-term antidote that works against the parasite. Finally able to access the full extent of his power thanks to the antidote, Ithan decides to take responsibility and share the truth of Sigrid with the Den, only for things to take a terrible turn when Sabine enters the scene, Sigrid the Reaper in tow.
