What happens when a debate about Israel turns into a much bigger conversation about Islam, America, Gaza, faith, and the future of the West?

In this episode of A Stern Talk, William Stern sits down with Mansur Ashkar for a wide-ranging and heated conversation about Israel, Gaza, Islam in America, Sharia law, Christianity, Jesus, Muhammad, Iran, and the future of Western civilization.

The conversation begins with the question of whether America should stop funding Israel before moving into a much deeper debate over Islam's role in American society. Mansur and the other participants debate whether Islam should be limited in America, where the line between religious freedom and political ideology should be drawn, and whether Sharia law conflicts with the U.S. Constitution.

The discussion then moves directly into Gaza and Israel. Gaza becomes part of a broader argument about the end times, Hamas, Israel, civilian suffering, and the role religion plays in how people understand the conflict. The speakers debate why Gaza has become such a central issue and how different religious interpretations shape people's understanding of Israel and the Middle East.

Mansur also explains his views on Jesus and Islamic eschatology, including the Islamic belief that Jesus did not die on the cross and will return. The conversation gets heated as the participants challenge each other's understanding of Christianity, Islam, the Bible, the Quran, Muhammad, and the meaning of the Messiah.
