Wanted Son Kills His Mother, Hides Body in Bathtub for 7 Days

When local authorities in New Mexico conducted a wellness check on 69-year-old Cynthia Baronson in November 2022, they discovered her decomposing body locked inside her shower. Although the scene initially appeared staged to resemble a tragic accident, investigators quickly suspected foul play due to drained bank accounts, missing pets, and a history of abuse involving her son, Dylan Waller. After fleeing across the border and dodging authorities for months, Dylan was eventually apprehended on unrelated drug charges in Las Cruces. During a subsequent interrogation, Dylan confessed to strangling and smothering his mother to "end her suffering," subsequently attempting to cover up the crime. Ultimately, Dylan was convicted of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence, receiving a life sentence in a New Mexico state prison.
