With some incredibly high production coverage of the Worlds’s Championships from Yokohama, Trainers have been busy in and out of the game! After recapping our last week of gameplay, which included the London and Osaka GO Fest Event, Glimmering Gardens, we dig into how Pokémon GO has reacted to the weekend. One of the coolest things we are seeing is a pair Timed Research that can be unlocked by watching 30 minutes of Worlds coverage on Twitch! Research isn’t the only reason to watch, as this year’s event may be the biggest production yet. An incredible stage, venue, and vibe has set the tone for a truly awesome weekend. PGO Trainers were able to dig into a World Championship event which brings us a new Pokémon and a new Costume Pikachu. We discuss how our 2022 Champion Dancing Rob is featured in the blog, but… IFYKY. We can’t help but chuckle about the debacle that surrounded his play style and open discussions on Twitter about it. We definitely rocked his way to Worlds last year! We are also excited to see some cool new blogs focusing on PvP, which is also a new look for Niantic. With some picks, strategies, and team builds, we can hope that new Trainers will take to their phones to battle it out!
