"8 DRAGON SOOPS Deep" - Tom Dell | S02 E07 | The Sin Bin Pod

This week Tom Dell joins The SinBin Pod with a story about attending a wedding where he knows absolutely nobody, being given far more responsibility than he should ever have been trusted with, and discovering a drink called Dragon Soop.

Invited as a friend’s plus-one, Tom believes his job is simple: provide a bit of moral support and help her navigate a wedding full of unfamiliar faces.

Unfortunately, once they arrive, he discovers there’s slightly more history involved than he was originally told — and somehow Tom has been selected as the person responsible for keeping things socially under control. After an unexpected few hours to kill before the reception, an unbearably hot day and a trip to Wetherspoons, Tom decides a little liquid courage might help.It does not.

By the time he finally arrives at the wedding reception, his plan to quietly support his friend has evolved into something considerably more memorable.

Expect:

✔ Tom Dell being recruited as a wedding “social buffer”

✔ Discovering his friend has history with considerably more guests than expected

✔ Four painfully awkward hours in Wetherspoons

✔ Tom discovering Dragon Soop for the first time

✔ Arriving at a very expensive wedding reception in questionable condition

✔ Attempting to solve an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere

✔ A wedding appearance that people may still be talking about ten years later

✔ Cox in the Corner: Marc takes aim at Tom’s life as a carer

✔ Sinner or Winner: an unfortunate Show and Tell discovery vs an impressively committed office prank
