EP348 - Decoding Desire: Erotic Equation Explained

Welcome to episode 348 of Sexology Podcast! Today I am delighted to be speaking with Pamela Madsen about the concept of the erotic equation, practicing arousal, expanding pleasure and insights on erotic learning and the ongoing nature of exploration.

At the age of 43, Pamela Madsen's life seemed fulfilling: a devoted marriage that had its roots in young love, two cherished sons, and a thriving career as a prominent advocate addressing fertility challenges. However, beneath the surface, a persistent and restless yearning for something more, something profoundly personal, stirred within her. Despite her deep affection for her husband and a firm stance against infidelity, Pamela recognized an undeniable truth – the need for a significant and transformative change.

In her captivating autobiography titled "Shameless," Pamela Madsen shifts the spotlight onto her own journey. Within its pages, she candidly shares the path she navigated towards a newfound sense of completeness encompassing her sexuality, personal identity, and spiritual being. The memoir delves into intricate and intimate experiences, recounting her encounters with sexual healers – individuals who not only imparted intense pleasure but also became her confidants and allies on this quest for self-discovery.

The essence of this narrative lies in the tale of a woman who, in the process of embracing her true self, encountered profound self-love. "Shameless" not only encapsulates Pamela Madsen's evolution but also extends a compelling invitation to women everywhere to embark on their own voyage of self-discovery and self-love.

In this episode, you will hear:

  • Understanding the concept of the "erotic equation"
  • The importance of creating excitement and novelty in relationships
  • Using games with partners to explore an eroticism
  • Looking at touch as a foundation of the erotic experience
  • Exploring massages, breathing, sound, and movement for heightened arousal
  • Paying attention to direction of touch (for self or partner).
  • The significance of open communication, intentionality, and feedback in touch
  • Practicing arousal, creating new normal's, and expanding pleasure
