Letter to C — Part 2: A Little Naive Thought

A Little Naive Thought is an open letter about wanting to remain close to someone who may never fully belong to the speaker in the way he hopes. Moving through difference, desire, pain, tenderness, jealousy, imagined futures, private symbols, and the fear of departure, the speaker tries to understand whether love can exist without possession or certainty. It is a confession about longing, vulnerability, asymmetry, and the naive but beautiful hope that two people might protect each other across whatever life becomes.
