Letter to C — Part 3: Void

Void is an open letter to someone who becomes both shelter and destruction, presence and absence, desire and pain. Moving through unanswered messages, jealousy, memory, cigarettes, promises, restaurants, imagined futures, and the pull of someone who cannot be possessed, the speaker tries to accept a feeling that remains real even when it cannot be returned in the form he wants. It is a confession about intensity, longing, emotional asymmetry, and the strange devotion of loving someone who keeps leading him deeper into himself.
