LaLa also lives with an invisible disability, Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and tenderness. It's a complex condition that affects the central nervous system, causing amplified pain signals and heightened sensitivity to stimuli. While the exact cause of fibromyalgia is unknown, it is believed to involve a combination of genetic, environmental, and psychological factors. In this episode, we discuss what it can be like living with an invisible disability, the impact it can have on friendships and relationships, how social media impacts those with invisible disabilities, and the importance of intersectional feminism.
