A Century-Old Cold Case | The Hinterkaifeck Massacre
The Hinterkaifeck murders occurred on the evening of March 31, 1922, when six inhabitants of a small Bavarian farmstead, located approximately 70 kilometres (43 mi) north of Munich, Germany, were murdered by an unknown assailant. The six victims were Andreas Gruber (age 63) and Cäzilia Gruber (age 72), their widowed daughter Viktoria Gabriel (age 35), Viktoria's children, Cäzilia (age 7) and Josef (age 2), and the maid, Maria Baumgartner (age 44). They were all found struck dead. The perpetrator (or perpetrators) lived with the six corpses of their victims for three days. The murders are considered one of the most gruesome and puzzling unsolved crimes in German history. Four of the dead bodies were stacked up in the barn, the victims having been lured into there one by one. Prior to the incident, the family and their previous maid reported hearing strange sounds coming from the attic, which led that maid to quit. The case remains unsolved to this day. #crimehub #truecrime #truecrimepodcast Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Carl Panzram: A Life of Killing, Raping, and Vengeance
Charles "Carl" Panzram (June 28, 1891 – September 5, 1930) was an American serial killer, spree killer, mass murderer, rapist, child molester, arsonist, robber, thief, and burglar. In prison confessions and in his autobiography, Panzram confessed to having committed twenty-one murders, only five of which could be corroborated; he is suspected of having killed more than a hundred men in the United States alone, and several more in Portuguese Angola. He also confessed to having committed more than a thousand acts of rape against males of all ages. After a lifetime of crime, during which he served many prison terms and escaped from them just as much, he was executed by hanging in 1930 for the murder of a prison employee at Leavenworth Federal Prison. #crimehub #truecrime #truecrimestories #truecrimepodcast Learn more about your ad choices. The Ravensbrück Rabbits
Ravensbrück was a German concentration camp exclusively for women from 1939 to 1945, located in northern Germany, about 56 miles north of Berlin at a site near the village of Ravensbrück (part of Fürstenberg/Havel). The camp memorial's estimated figure of 132,000 women who were in the camp during the war includes about 48,500 from Poland, 28,000 from the Soviet Union, almost 24,000 from Germany and Austria, nearly 8,000 from France, and thousands from other countries including a few from the United Kingdom and the United States. More than 20,000 of the total were Jewish, approximately 15%. 85% were from other races and cultures. More than 80% were political prisoners. Many prisoners were employed as slave labor by Siemens & Halske. From 1942 to 1945, the Nazis undertook medical experiments to test the effectiveness of sulfonamides. * * * #crimehub #truecrime #truecrimestories #truecrimepodcast Learn more about your ad choices.
