He then used it to send a fake text message to her boyfriend, who was due to pick her up after her shift.The text read: “Hey, I’m spending a couple of days with friends, let me dad know.”Keyes took Samantha to his property, where he tied her up in a shed. He turned his radio up so no one could hear her screams and pleas for help.After demanding Samantha’s address, Keyes made his way to retrieve her ATM card from her boyfriend’s truck.In a gut-wrenching twist, while stealing the debit card, Keyes was confronted by Samantha’s boyfriend – who was already on edge after discovering Koenig was not at work when he arrived to pick her up as well as having received the strange text message from her phone earlier, which had, in fact, been sent by Keyes.Thinking he was a random burglar attempting to break into his car, Samantha’s boyfriend ran inside to get help, while Keyes fled.Returning to his property, Keyes poured himself a glass of wine as he returned to his shed and raped a sobbing Samantha.He then strangled her to death.Keyes returned inside, packed for a pre-planned cruise in New Orleans, woke his daughter for school, and left for the airport.Returning to Anchorage on February 17, 2012, Keyes began preparing a ransom note, but first, he decided to remove Samantha’s body from the cupboard.He applied makeup to Samantha’s face – frozen and lifeless – before unsettlingly sewing her eyes open with fishing line to give her the appearance of being alive. LAPD Detective Stephanie Lazarus Murder Suspect - Full Length Police Interrogation Full Length Police Interrogation VideoSherri Rasmussen (February 7, 1957 – February 24, 1986) was an American woman found dead in February 1986 in an apartment she shared with her husband, John Ruetten, in Van Nuys, California. Rasmussen had been beaten and shot three times in a struggle. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) initially considered the case a botched burglary, and the crime remained unsolved.Rasmussen's father believed that Stephanie Lazarus, an LAPD officer, was a prime suspect. Detectives who re-examined the cold case files in 2009 were eventually led to Lazarus, by then herself a detective. A DNA sample she unknowingly discarded was matched to one from a bite on Rasmussen's body that had remained in the files. Lazarus was convicted of the murder in 2012 and is serving a sentence of 27 years to life for first-degree murder at the California Institution for Women in Corona.Lazarus appealed the conviction, claiming that the age of the case and the evidence denied her due process. She also alleged that the search warrant was improperly granted, her statements in an interview prior to her arrest were compelled, and that evidence supporting the original case theory should have been admitted at trial. In 2015, the guilty verdict was upheld by the California Court of Appeal.[5]Some of the police files suggest that evidence that could have implicated Lazarus earlier in the investigation was later removed, perhaps by others in the LAPD. Rasmussen's parents unsuccessfully sued the department over this and other aspects of the investigation. Royce Teets Police Interrogation Murdered Fiancé Point-Blank Range with AK-47 Teets was arrested on July 11, 2016 on a premeditated murder charge in the shooting death of his fiancee, Terri Lynn Coolidge.Teets shot her at point blank range with an AK-47 after the two had an argument about his infidelity.According to a police report, Teets claimed his fiancée was an alcoholic who had gotten mad at him earlier in the day for texting to and speaking with other women.Police said Teets left to go drinking with friends and returned home to an irate Coolidge. He claimed that Coolidge broke a mirror in their bedroom and told him, "I'm going to kill you.""She was extremely drunk," Teets said in the interrogation video.According to the report, Teets went to the bedroom closet where he keeps two AK-47s and grabbed one of them before Coolidge could take it. Teets said he removed the magazine from the gun and believed that it was empty. He said the argument moved from the bedroom to the living room, where Coolidge was shot.Police said Teets, who is a convicted felon, gave three different versions of how his fiancée ended up dead."Who got the gun out of the closet?" a detective who was questioning Teets asked."When she was running to get it, I ran back there and got it first," Teets said.Teets said the first thing he did after finding the gun was to remove the magazine and throw it on the bed. However, when police found the gun, they found a live round in the chamber.Teets shows a range of emotion in the video, at one point slamming his hand on the table and at another time getting on his knees to pray."Why did you have to die?" Teets said.Teets eventually confessed to the shooting, admitting that he lied to police."How many times have you lied to me today?" the detective asked Teets."I was scared," Teets answered."How many times have you lied to me today?" the detective said.
