The firing, and subsequent rehiring, of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman raises fundamental questions about whose interests are relevant to the development of artificial intelligence and how these interests should be weighed if they hinder innovation. Together, they discuss if AI is really "intelligent" and whether a profit motive is always bad.
