Julian returns to the show and gives us an update on his hamstring injury. Brad returns to the gym to help strengthen his body. Brady returns from the Osaka Marathon in search of his next move.

Jesse Hunt joins the show, fresh from his 1500m performance at the Bankstown NSW Milers meet where he came second behind Cameron Myers and ahead of Jake Wightman just missing the Olympic Qualifier. Jesse talks about his time at the University of North Carolina and the presence of MJ, joining OAC Oceania under Craig Mottram and how his agency arrangement is handled, as well as what he studied at college and his interests outside of running.

OAC Oceania made their presence known at Canberra Track Classic with Claudia Hollingsworth running 1:58.81 to win the 800m in an Olympic Qualifier, and breaking her own u20 National Record just ahead of teammate Bendere Oboya in 1:59.22 and Sarah Billings in 2:00.55. Payton Craig, who had recently signed with On Running, took out the 800m in 1:45.91 ahead of Luke Boyes and Jack Lunn. Connor Whitely won the Men’s 1500m in 3:40.09 ahead of James Hansen and Will Lewis, while Jodie McCann of Ireland won in 4:14.05 ahead of Jaylah Hancock Cameron and Rebekah Greene of New Zealand. Jess Hull came 4th in 8:24.39 for an Oceania Record in the 3000m final of the World Indoor Athletics Championships held in Glasgow, with Elle St Pierre of the USA winning the gold medal in 8:20.87, ahead of Guduf Tsegay of Ethiopia and Beatrice Chepkoech running a Kenyan National Record. Josh Kerr of Scotland continued his rich vein of form winning the 3000m ahead of Yared Nuguse of USA and Selemon Barega of Ethiopia. Catriona Bisset placed 5th in her semi-final in a time of 2:00. The National Cross Country Trials, held at Stromlo was taken out by Paige Campbell ahead of Lissy Duncan, who both secured a spot at the World Cross Country to be held in Belgrade, Serbia with Maudie Skyring in third place. Haftu Strintzos used his NCAA experience to take out the men’s 10km race ahead of Liam Adams, with Zach Facioni in third. The full team will be announced in the following weeks. It was a tough day for the Road to Valencia team with Matt Clowes in 2:15, Paul Marteletti in 2:19 and Peter LeGrice retiring midway. Craig Kirkwood, runner, coach and patron of the show sheds light on the career of running he’s had, going through the several personal bests earned from around the world and how getting the best from his own training led to his start as a junior. He recalls earning high praise from Arthur Lydiard and his experiences competing and training in the NCAA in Oklahoma before heading off to the UK where he represented New Zealand at the 1999 World Cross Country Championships in Belfast. During his time in London, Craig developed his skill as a coach and agent organising athlete training and racing including the likes of Daniel Komen, watching their workouts and observing the level of professionalism they put in. Craig goes into stepping up to the marathon, getting selected for the Manchester Commonwealth Games before a freak injury derailed him then coming home to New Zealand. He shares his insight to the domestic scene, why New Zealand distance running sets the bar really high and his earnest approach into coaching, particularly young charges such as Sam Tanner and his philosophies around training and self belief, and closing with his thoughts on how the domestic running scene will go through the short term future and current state of the sport.
