To celebrate International Women's Day, this week we are covering the story of an absolute force of nature - Eliane Becks, or as some of you might know her, HIV Stigma Fighter. After her HIV diagnosis she initially began fighting stigma from behind her curtains, as she describes it, and then decided to be open about her HIV status. Pedro Zamora
In 1994 Pedro Zamora joined the cast of The Real World San Francisco where he openly discussed his HIV status, sexuality, and relationship with his partner, Sean Sasser. One day after the final episode of The Real World aired, aged just 22, Pedro passed away.
