Episode 160 Robby Bell: "From Motocross Dreams to Championship Triumphs"

Robby Bell, a championship racer hailing from El Cajon, CA, fulfills his lifelong dream of racing professionally in the world of Supercross and Motocross. With a passion for the sport since his early years, Robby's journey unfolds when he expresses his racing aspirations to his father at the age of 16. Together, they embark on his first motocross race, setting the stage for a remarkable career.

In 2002, at the tender age of 16, Robby Bell secures a spot in the prestigious Loretta's race in the highly competitive 125 C class. Despite a setback during the second moto, where he fractures his foot, Robby manages to deliver an impressive 2-2 finish. However, his injury prevents him from participating in the third moto, a pivotal moment as Jimmy Albertson seizes the opportunity and clinches the overall victory with a stellar performance.

Fast forward to 2012, a pivotal year in Robby Bell's career. It marks a turning point as he begins to prioritize his diet after a poignant remark from Ryan Hughes enlightens him about the crucial role nutrition plays in performance. Experimenting with various dietary approaches, Robby ultimately finds success with a gluten-free and later a Paleo diet. The positive impact of this dietary shift becomes evident in his WORCS results, leading to significant improvements.

Furthermore, Robby Bell teams up with David Pearson and Steve Hengeveld, forming a formidable alliance that triumphs in the 2012 Baja 500. This victory is particularly significant as it not only marks their own achievement but also breaks Kawasaki's dry spell, securing their first SCORE victory since 1996.
