Madison’s father, John Cornelius “J.C.” McGhee, was gunned down in the doorway of his own home in Belmont County, Ohio in 2002. His case has remained unsolved since then. As a child, Madison was told that her father died from a heart attack. It wasn’t until Madison was 16 years old that she learned the truth about his untimely death. In 2023, Madison launched Ice Cold Case, the podcast, a serialized investigative podcast that seeks to solve J.C.’s cold case. Madison’s grass-roots investigation has unearthed a plethora of information in her father’s case.
