Episode 161: Edit the Ego and Write with Intuition

Today on the podcast, I talk to Jacqueline Fisch, the founder of the Intuitive Writing School. Jacqueline shares how writing is a helpful practice to "get out all of the junk" in the mind. We can give ourselves so much freedom to express when we let ourselves write down all of the thoughts and emotions first, and then pause to edit. We don't have to edit ourselves while we are crafting our expressions. This is a helpful practice when thinking about how we write in both personal and professional settings. In our conversation, we explore how looking at your most recent forms of communication (ie. email, slack, texts, DM etc) can offer a lot of insight into your communication style. Jacqueline also shares how we can work with the perfectionist mind when it starts to get loud in writing practice. Take a listen to the whole episode and share your takeaways with us @OneWade and @theintuitivewritingschool.

Jacqueline Fisch is an author, copywriter, writing coach, and the founder of The Intuitive Writing School. She helps creatives move past writer's block and perfectionism so they can finish their important work, and she supports business owners in finding their authentic voice so they can make an impact on the world.

Before launching her writing and coaching business, Jacq spent 13 years working in corporate communications and management-consulting for clients including Fortune 500 companies and the US government. As a freelance copywriter and coach, she's helped hundreds of clients — tech startups, life and business coaches, creatives, and more — learn how to communicate more authentically and stand out in a busy online world.

After moving 14 times in 20 years, she's decided that home is where the people are. She finds home with her husband, two kids, a dog, a cat, and a few houseplants hanging on by a thread.
