Ep 19. The Secondary Targets

Ep 19. The Secondary Targets

Episode 19. In this episode Ulland and Jo discuss the secondary targets. They are common dialects in the average person and are amplified in times of emotional dysregulation. They are Active Passivity vs. Apparent Competence, Emotional Vulnerability vs. Self-Invalidation, and Unrelenting Crisis vs. Inhibited Grieving. Understanding secondary targets becomes useful for predicting behaviors while also helping with understanding what skills and techniques are most likely to help.
