But in the 1980s, Interstate-5 was known for something else: a series of burglaries on the west coast and a man who quickly became known as the I-5 bandit. And after awhile this man’s crimes started to escalate - first to sexual assaults, then finally to murder - and he was given the new name of the I-5 killer.
