The personality disorder sees the narcissist switch between taking on a childlike role in the relationship and then reverting to the parent role. There is never equality in a narcissistically abusive relationship, although a narcissist will entice you during the love bombing phase to believe that this is totally an equal dynamic and embed the idea that you have found your soul mate and equal in all things, as in your ideal life partner.
