Invictus BY WILLIAM ERNEST HENLEY

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Known as "the poet of the people," Guest wrote more than 11,000 poems, and his work has touched the lives of countless readers over the years. In "A Child of Mine," Guest draws upon his own experience of losing two of his children to offer comfort to others who may be experiencing the same pain. The poem reminds us of the beauty and gift of the few years we have with our children, and how even in loss, we can cherish those memories as a lasting legacy. Simerjeet's reading of "A Child of Mine" aims to bring healing and solace to anyone who has lost a child. Through his heartfelt and empathetic delivery, Simerjeet invites us to reflect on the powerful message of this timeless poem and to find strength in its words. A Child of MineI will lend you, for a little time,A child of mine, He said. For you to love the while he lives, And mourn for when he's dead.It may be six or seven years, Or twenty-two or three. But will you, till I call him back,Take care of him for Me?He'll bring his charms to gladden you,And should his stay be brief. You'll have his lovely memories,As solace for your grief.I cannot promise he will stay,Since all from earth return. But there are lessons taught down there,I want this child to learn.I've looked the wide world over, In search for teachers true. And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,I have selected you.Now will you give him all your love, Nor think the labour vain.Nor hate me when I comeTo take him home again?I fancied that I heard them say,'Dear Lord, Thy will be done!'For all the joys Thy child shall bring,The risk of grief we'll run. We'll shelter him with tenderness,We'll love him while we may,And for the happiness we've known,Forever grateful stay. But should the angels call for him,Much sooner than we've planned. We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,And try to understand.I will lend you, for a little time, I will lend you, for a little time,A child of mine, He said. For you to love the while he lives,And mourn for when he's dead.It may be six or seven years,Or twenty-two or three. But will you, till I call him back,Take care of him for Me?He'll bring his charms to gladden you,And should his stay be brief. You'll have his lovely memories,As solace for your grief.I cannot promise he will stay,Since all from earth return. But there are lessons taught down there,I want this child to learn.I've looked the wide world over,In search for teachers true. And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,I have selected you.Now will you give him all your love,Nor think the labour vain.Nor hate me when I comeTo take him home again?I fancied that I heard them say,'Dear Lord, Thy will be done!'For all the joys Thy child shall bring,The risk of grief we'll run. We'll shelter him with tenderness,We'll love him while we may,And for the happiness we've known,Forever grateful stay. But should the angels call for him,Much sooner than we've planned. We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,And try to understand. Regards, TeamSJS The Prophet On Friendship by Kahlil Gibran: And a youth said, Speak to us of Friendship. And he answered, saying: Your friend is your needs answered. He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving. And he is your board and your fireside. For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace. When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the “nay” in your own mind, nor do you withhold the “ay.” And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart; For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared, with joy that is unacclaimed. When you part from your friend, you grieve not; For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain. And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit. For love that seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery us not love but a net cast forth: and only the unprofitable is caught. And let your best be for your friend. If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know its flood also. For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill? Seek him always with hours to live. For it is his to fill your need but not your emptiness. And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. Muskuraiye - Simerjeet Singh's Motivational Hindi Poem Reading That Will Make You Smile

Muskuraiye - Simerjeet Singh's Motivational Hindi Poem Reading That Will Make You Smile

Life is full of ups and downs. Some days, we feel like we are on top of the world, and other days, we feel like we are struggling just to keep our heads above water. In times of difficulty, it can be challenging to find the strength to keep going. That's why it's so important to seek out inspiration wherever we can find it. Whether it's in poetry, stories, or the everyday heroes around us, we need inspiration to remind us of what is possible and to help us stay hopeful. Poetry and stories are powerful tools for gaining perspective on life's challenges. They offer a way to step outside of our own experiences and see the world from a different point of view. The best poetry and stories challenge us to think deeply about our own lives and to consider the lives of others. They remind us that we are not alone, that others have faced similar challenges, and that we can learn from their experiences. Simerjeet Singh is a master of using poetry and stories to inspire others. His readings of Hindi poems and stories have touched the hearts of millions around the world. In his latest episode, he shares a powerful message about life and the importance of learning to smile in the face of adversity. The poem Muskuraiye, or Smile, reminds us that even in the darkest moments, we can find hope and strength in the simple act of smiling. But inspiration doesn't always come from poets and motivational speakers. Sometimes, it comes from the everyday heroes around us. These are the people who quietly go about their lives, doing good in the world without expecting anything in return. They are the ones who inspire us to be better, to do more, and to make a difference in the world. Finding your everyday heroes can be as simple as looking around you. It might be the neighbor who always has a kind word or the coworker who goes out of their way to help others. It could be a friend who has faced incredible challenges and come out stronger on the other side. Whatever the source, these everyday heroes can help us find the inspiration we need to keep going when times are tough. One of the most powerful things about smiling is that it is infectious. When we smile, we not only lift our own spirits, but we also give hope to those around us. A smile can brighten someone's day, even if they are going through a difficult time. It can be a small but powerful act of kindness that makes a big difference in the world. In the end, finding inspiration is about opening ourselves up to the world around us. It's about being open to new ideas, new perspectives, and new experiences. It's about seeking out the things that lift us up and help us see the best in ourselves and others. Whether it's through poetry, stories, or the everyday heroes around us, inspiration is all around us if we are willing to look for it. So, the next time you are feeling down, take a moment to look for inspiration. Seek out the poetry and stories that speak to your soul. Look for the everyday heroes who inspire you with their kindness and courage. And most importantly, remember to smile. When you smile, you give others hope, and that small act of kindness can make all the difference in the world. Simerjeet Singh Uncovers a New Level of Understanding in Kahlil Gibran's Poetry on Good and Evil

Simerjeet Singh Uncovers a New Level of Understanding in Kahlil Gibran's Poetry on Good and Evil

Seek Truth Through Unconventional Wisdom! Journey through the words of Lebanese-American poet Kahlil Gibran in his poem, "The Prophet on Good and Evil". The 20th century was forever changed by Khalil Gibran's writing and his greatest work, "The Prophet", is an iconic pillar of modern spiritual literature. This inspirational poetry will help you open your minds to rethink what you have always known and dive into the depths of philosophical questioning. Through the power of poetry, the world's renowned motivational speaker Simerjeet Singh uncovers a whole new level of understanding between good and evil. His captivating voice will take you down a path of exploration where you can find inner peace and clarity by accepting what lies in your heart and embark on a journey to delve into yourself, to understand other perspectives on life, and feel inspired by something bigger than yourself. Let his words inspire you to challenge assumptions and gain a deeper, more meaningful understanding of this powerful dichotomy. Get ready to be mesmerized and have your heart touched by listening to this poem. Regards, TeamSJS Kahlil Gibran On Good and Evil: And one of the elders of the city said, Speak to us of Good and Evil. And he answered: Of the good in you I can speak, but not of the evil. For what is evil but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst? Verily when good is hungry it seeks food even in dark caves, and when it thirsts it drinks even of dead waters. You are good when you are one with yourself. Yet when you are not one with yourself you are not evil. For a divided house is not a den of thieves; it is only a divided house. And a ship without rudder may wander aimlessly among perilous isles yet sink not to the bottom. You are good when you strive to give of yourself. Yet you are not evil when you seek gain for yourself. For when you strive for gain you are but a root that clings to the earth and sucks at her breast. Surely the fruit cannot say to the root, “Be like me, ripe and full and ever giving of your abundance.” For to the fruit giving is a need, as receiving is a need to the root. You are good when you are fully awake in your speech, Yet you are not evil when you sleep while your tongue staggers without purpose. And even stumbling speech may strengthen a weak tongue. You are good when you walk to your goal firmly and with bold steps. Yet you are not evil when you go thither limping. Even those who limp go not backward. But you who are strong and swift, see that you do not limp before the lame, deeming it kindness. You are good in countless ways, and you are not evil when you are not good, You are only loitering and sluggard. Pity that the stags cannot teach swiftness to the turtles. In your longing for your giant self lies your goodness: and that longing is in all of you. But in some of you that longing is a torrent rushing with might to the sea, carrying the secrets of the hillsides and the songs of the forest. And in others it is a flat stream that loses itself in angles and bends and lingers before it reaches the shore. But let not him who longs much say to him who longs little, “Wherefore are you slow and halting?” For the truly good ask not the naked, “Where is your garment?” nor the houseless, “What has befallen your house?” ~ Kahlil Gibran Watch it on YouTube: #PoetryThatInspires #KahlilGibran #SimerjeetSingh #GoodAndEvil #KhalilGibran #InspirationalPoetry Follow us on: https://linktr.ee/SimerjeetSingh
