We also use simple past tense grammar in English to describe a series of completed actions and to describe the duration of an action from the past. It's important to study irregular verbs past tense in English to become more fluent in English. For regular verbs past tense, we should add -ed. For verbs which already end in a silent -e, we simply add -d (die - died for example). For regular verbs ending in a consonant and -y, we change the "y" to "i" and add -ed (hurry - hurried for example). In this video you can study regular verbs past tense pronunciation as well as, simple past tense regular verbs pronunciation in English. You will also learn past simple tense and the past simple tense English grammar rules. In English conversation and English grammar regular and irregular verbs are important to study. You should study and become comfortable using regular and irregular verbs in English if you want to master the simple past grammar in English. So, let's learn English about how to use simple past tense. For regular verbs ending in a consonant + vowel + consonant where the final syllable is stressed, we double the consonant and add -ed (stop - stopped and prefer - preferred for example) In British English, for regular verbs ending in -l, we always double the -l (cancel - cancelled for example). In American English, for verbs ending in -l, we follow the stressed syllable rule mentioned above.
