-Buffy explores the gray area of characters, especially what it means to have a soul
-Angel is tortured in Hell for hundreds of years
-"Anne" set up the timeline of alternate reality
-Even after the torture, Angel still sees through the monster and sees Buffy
-But can we trust him yet?
-The power of love pulled him through years of trauma
-In the spinoff- What is Angel without Buffy
