Join us as we welcome Megann Schooley, a dynamic speaker, professor, and physical therapist, to the podcast. Megann's expertise in public speaking and health and wellness shines through as she shares critical knowledge on managing chronic diseases, especially type one diabetes, and its impact on muscles and joints for women over 40.

Exercise, sport, health, and wellness have always been her personal passions and are areas of emphasis in her professional career. Personally, she is dedicated to faith, family, health, and fitness. She is a former captain of Lynn University's Women's National Championship Soccer Team, twice an Academic All-American and a member of their Athletic Hall of Fame.

Professionally, Schooley is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, Manual Therapy Certified, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults. She has a Graduate Certificate in Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics from the University of Florida's College of Medicine. Additionally, she has certifications in blood flow restriction rehabilitation, dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, fascial movement taping, and Psychology for High Performance Sports.

Megann emphasizes the importance of controlling variables such as blood glucose levels, sleep quality, and inflammation to prevent muscle and tendon issues.
