U.S. death toll surpasses 100,000

More than 100,000 people in the United States have died from the coronavirus, almost twice the number of Americans lost in the Vietnam War. Dr. Anthony Fauci says he’s hopeful for a vaccine by the end of the year. William Haseltine, Chair and President of ACCESS Health International, tells Anderson Cooper many of the deaths in this country “didn’t have to happen if we had been prepared.” Plus, Democratic Senator Kamala Harris joins AC360 to react to the grim milestone and says President Trump “is not a leader.” Airdate: May 27, 2020 To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices.
