The BTK Killer: Dennis Rader

The BTK Killer: Dennis Rader

This week, the ICMAP Boys explore the chilling case of Dennis Rader, also known as ‘BTK’ and ‘The BTK Killer’, (an abbreviation he gave himself for “Bind, Torture, Kill”).

Rader brutally claimed ten victims throughout the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s - during which time, he sent a series of taunting letters to the police and local newspapers before seemingly vanishing from the public eye.

In 2004, Rader resumed his letters after he read an article discussing the BTK murders and the killer’s potential whereabouts. Which would lead to an unbelievable series of events that resulted in Rader’s 2005 arrest…

How was Rader able to evade any possible detection for four decades? Could his actions be blamed on two significant incidents during his early childhood? Why did Rader take clothing and belongings from several of his victims? And what was the unbelievable error on Rader’s part that resulted in his capture?

Tune in and all will be revealed!
