40. Peers to Push You

40. Peers to Push You

In baseball, scouts are always on the lookout for a player who can hit, hit for power, run (fast), field, and throw. If you can do all five of these at a high level, you are what's known as a “five-tool player,” and teams will do whatever they can to add you to their roster. Because five-tool players are extremely rare.

As we've studied godly men over the years, we’ve realized that godly men are five-tool players. The godly man must consistently have these five tools in his life:

  1. Peers to push him
  2. Models to mentor him
  3. A training plan to transform him
  4. God’s Word to guide him
  5. The Holy Spirit to strengthen him

In the first episode of this five part series, Sean & Logan talk about why godly manhood is a team sport, how to pick the right peers, and the various areas in which those peers push should be pushing us.
