345. Fearlessly Failing : Shaun Hampson

Did you know this episode has been over 3 years in the making. Shaun owns one of the local cafes I used to visit all the time when I lived in Melbourne (Ascot Food & Wine), Boss would get the classic cheeseburger and I was a sucker for the acai bowls. Cut to know; Shaun is killing it on not one series of the iconic Survivor but two; returning as a Hero to the Heroes V's Villains series which is on your telly right now if you're living in Australia. Shaun talks about the different approaches he's taken going into this Survivor in comparison to the last time. We talk about the method for psychological preparation as opposed to the physical prep.Being Melbourne born I had to ask about playing footy! Shaun was a ruckman in the ALF teams Carlton and Richmond, we talk about injuries, some of the highs and lows of having a career as an Aussie rules footy player. Fun fact: I've also interviewed his wonderful wife (Megan Gale - episode 14) on this pod a few years ago, she was so kind to jump on as one of my first guests. So it feels fitting to be here interviewing this gentle giant.
