Cortney is an interior designer, developer, and one half of the Novogratz design duo along with her husband, Robert Novogratz. They are beloved designers, well known for their eclectic style and boutique inspired furniture and home accents. In March of 2020 they published a book titled "Design Fix: Chic and Stylish Tips For Every Decorating Scenario" that tackles a long list of dilemmas and smart tips on how to solve them.

They have starred in TV shows on Bravo and HGTV, created a line of furniture and home products which feature "boutique designs at affordable prices".
