#27: The Dark Side of Emotional Intelligence (Part 1)

I read something just this week about Emotional Intelligence that absolutely made me stop in my tracks. There are people teaching & using emotional skills to control & manipulate others!!

I want to be clear here - this is very wrong! This is the absolute wrong motive & use of emotional intelligence. Sometimes as entrepreneurs, we want so much to win. We want to be successful and we want to make a difference. But if we want it so much that we are willing to use any means to win, it makes us too susceptible to using these skills in a way that may help us in the short run, but hurts people in the long run.

I hope...I really hope, that you're into personal development as much as you're into marketing, sales and networking strategies! Those things are important, but here's the reality: you are your business! And if you're not working on growing yourself, your business will eventually plateau, if it ever really gets off the ground at all.
