Navalny was transferred to the village of Kharp in the Far North in December of last year, when he was sentenced in another case and the regime of detention was tightened.

According to the Federal Penitentiary Service, this afternoon Navalny became ill during a walk, and after half an hour of resuscitation, an ambulance pronounced him dead.
