Episode 325 - Echoes of Wisdom Daily Debates Discussed and Analyzed

This week, we're putting a bow (for now!) on our Echoes of Wisdom announcement coverage as we answer some of Zelda Dungeon's Daily Debates regarding the new game, and sprinkle a few about Zelda in general for good measure too! On the docket this time: will Link and Zelda speak in game? Will Echoes of Wisdom lean more open world or have a more linear progression? Should we expect this game to be in the Downfall timeline? Is Zelda going to abandon the Triforce going forward? How could Nintendo improve its online experience? What's the most celebratory moment in the series? All this, and so much much more!

Don't miss next week, as we'll be live streaming Four Swords and giving our thoughts and trying to co-exist! The stream starts at 12 pm MST July 14th over on our Twitch page! See you all then!

Episode 118 - Ask Us Anything About Zelda and Breath of the Wild 2

Episode 118 - Ask Us Anything About Zelda and Breath of the Wild 2

Another week, another episode where we know not a single thing more about Breath of the Wild 2 than we did last year. That's okay though, since we did what we do best here on the Champions' Cast: speculate! This week, we asked everyone to head over to Facebook and ask a Zelda question to get a Zelda answer, and you delivered big time!   We had tons of questions to answer, including what would we undo in the Zelda series, what new mechanics Breath of the Wild 2 could introduce, what Zelda game do we think is overrated, do we think we'll ever see the Picori again, how important is lore in a Zelda game to us, and what franchise we think Nintendo values more, Mario or Zelda?   These are just some of the great question, so come hang out with us and have some laughs!   Follow us on Facebook!   Follow the Champions’ Cast on Twitter: Andy Spiteri – @Spiteri316 Alasyn Eletha – @AlasynEletha

Episode 117 - Remembering Our Favorite Stealth Segments in the Zelda Series

Episode 117 - Remembering Our Favorite Stealth Segments in the Zelda Series

Metal Gear!? To hear those words uttered in a Zelda game would give me no end of joy, but then, I'm a big fan of stealthy games and Tactical Espionage Action. But after kicking around the idea, I realized that Zelda has a plethora of stealthy sections spread out in the series for us to dissect and discuss. Come hang with us as we talk Gerudo Valley, Silent Realms, the Yiga Clan Hideout, the Forsaken Fortress, and more as we offer our two cents of most of the stealth segments currently available in Zelda. Plus, weigh in on a side bar we found ourselves discussing on the show - is Master Kohga is major letdown of a character? What do you think? All this and more, PLUS, head over to this post right here and ask us a question for net week's show! You can only ask questions on Facebook, so make sure to give us a like and drop a Q in the comments!   Follow the Champions’ Cast on Twitter:   Andy Spiteri – @Spiteri316 Alasyn Eletha – @AlasynEletha

Episode 116 - Discussing the Best (and Worst!) Intro Dungeons in the Series

Episode 116 - Discussing the Best (and Worst!) Intro Dungeons in the Series

The Intro Dungeon: a games first dungeon that acts both as a tutorial as to how the rest of the game plays, and as a standalone experience. That's our definition anyways, so with that in mind, the gang discuss the 5 best intro dungeons in the series and give some honorable mentions to strong opening "areas". We also shoot on the worst intro sections (no points for guessing mine) and what made them so lackluster. Come have fun as Corey returns to the show by popular demand! Oh... and did you know? The Champions' Cast is now on Facebook! We're looking to grow our community even further, so drop us a like and a follow! VERY SOON we will be doing a Facebook AMA, so to get YOUR questions asked and answered, go and like us!   Follow the Champions’ Cast on Twitter:   Andy Spiteri – @Spiteri316 Alasyn Eletha – @AlasynEletha Corey Richmond – @CoreyRichmond

Episode 115 - Going Over Zelda Dungeon's Top 50 Dungeons List

Episode 115 - Going Over Zelda Dungeon's Top 50 Dungeons List

We recently undertook a mammoth task here at the site and polled 30 different staff members to gauge their favorite dungeons in the Zelda series. We then took all that data and made one overall list, with the dungeons that finished highest on most peoples lists getting pints that determined their placement on our master list. We finally revealed all 50 dungeons on that list, and the gang are here to give you their thoughts on the placements and what dungeons were the biggest snubs. This is a long one, so strap in, and make sure to check out the Top 50 Dungeons article in it's entirety here!   Make sure you're listening next week as we'll have an exciting announcement!   Follow the Champions’ Cast on Twitter:   Andy Spiteri – @Spiteri316 Alasyn Eletha – @AlasynEletha

Episode 114 - Reviewing A List of Proposed Changes in Breath of the Wild 2

Episode 114 - Reviewing A List of Proposed Changes in Breath of the Wild 2

A couple months ago, the Zelda Dungeon writing team put their collective heads together to think of some specific in-depth changes they wanted to see take place from Breath of the Wild to its sequel. This week on the show, we go over the list of suggested changes and weight in on what we'd like to see! Recipe Books? A customizable base? Some forgeable weapons? More exuberant music? Underwater travel? A LINK THAT CAN TALK?! All this and more explored this week, as the gang are joined by Tony Harris, aka Lorule Legend! Live from Linktober's Zelda Creators Con comes an episode two years in the making - a Phantom Hourglass retrospective! Episode 112 - Remembering Link in Soulcalibur II

Episode 112 - Remembering Link in Soulcalibur II

Buckle in and grab your weapons, because this week, we go in our way back machine to reminisce about everyone's favorite Hylian Hero making an unprecedented guest appearance in Namco's 2003 fighting game, Soulcalibur II! We have TWO live streams to announce - first, NEXT SUNDAY at 4 PM Central, Alasyn and I will be joined by Mases as we host a live Phantom Hourglass retrospective podcast as part of Linktober's Zelda Creator Con. Ticket's are $1 (yes, you read that right) and you'll be able to see us live as well as tons of other amazing artists. For more details, check this out.
