Small Details We HOPE the Harry Potter HBO Show Will Include

Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today, we'll be discussing the brand new television adaptation of the Harry Potter series that has just been officially announced by HBO Max.On April 12, the WarnerBrosDiscovery's direct-to-consumer offering shared on Twitter:"Your Hogwarts letter is here. Max has ordered the first ever #HarryPotter scripted television series, a faithful adaptation of the iconic books. #StreamOnMax"The tweet was posted alongside a brief trailer of the newly ordered series, which didn't give too much insight into what fans can expect from the series--other than a whole heck of a lot of nostalgia for fans of the original novels and films.And while I thoroughly enjoyed the movies, it's no surprise that the film adaptations were unable to include EVERY DETAIL from the novels. It simply would've made the movies too long. And, while I suppose the writers and producers could have split each and every book into multiple-part films--as they did with the seventh book, which had a part one and part two as movies--this would've left much to be desired at the end of each film, considering it would only take you part way through a novel's story arc. So, all that said, my HOPE for the television series is that it will include A LOT more than the movies ever did.
