Thailand Vegan Chef Explains To Us His Secret to Success || Jamie Raftery

Jamie is the founder of The Holistic Chef Academy Virtual Cooking School. He is one of the top vegan chefs in the world and has been dedicated to helping people understand, celebrate and showcase wholefood plant-based cuisine.

Jamie was born and raised in the West of Ireland and at the age of 15, he started his hospitality journey as a pot washer where he immediately found the passion, desire and experience needed to become a chef. After completing a 2-year course at Galway Culinary School, Jamie went on to work with many of the most prestigious chefs from around the world such as Gordon Ramsey, Michael Caines, Thomas Keller, and of course his friend and mentor Chef G Nazri, just to name a few.

After working a decade in the Michelin realm, perfecting his craft and working tirelessly towards personal success, Jamie decided to take a break and reflect on his learnings and re-assess where his journey was heading.

It was during this time that he decided to take a vacation in Thailand, the place where his inspiration for a more holistic cooking approach began.

Today we talk about Jamie’s journey from Ireland to Phuket, Thailand and how he went from eating and cooking meat-based meals to becoming a master chef in plant-based cuisines.
