Lindsay Ellingson, Supermodel and Co-Founder of Wander Beauty: Transitioning from Supermodel to Entrepreneur, Winning Allure Beauty Award, Advice for Entrepreneurs, How To De-puff Undereyes, and Travel Skincare Tips

On today's episode I'm chatting with Lindsay Ellingson. Lindsay is a supermodel (and former VS Angel), and the co-founder of clean beauty line, Wander Beauty. Wander Beauty is all about streamlining makeup routines and downsizing makeup bags. While their products are beautiful and ‘Instagrammable’, they pride themselves on efficacy (something I can vet, having tried the line). Wander Beauty has been trying to answer the question "what is missing in the beauty world?”, and really addresses the main pain points that women have when it comes to beauty products. Lindsay talks about getting into modelling and then transitioning from supermodel to entrepreneur. Today's episode is a class in entrepreneurship. We go over the whole story, step by step. From having the idea of a 'travel beauty' company to surveying potential customers, then launching with one (yes, just one) product to achieving their first major milestone. It’s a great episode for any budding entrepreneur because we get into the nitty-gritty. We also get into Lindsay’s best skincare tips and tricks, productivity hacks, morning routine, and so much more. #31 - Meagan Williamson, Pinterest Consultant and Industry Expert: Pinterest 101 for Beginners, Finding Keywords, Tripling Income Using Pinterest, Original Content vs. Re-Pin Ratio, Recycling Old Blog Content and Optimizing Images For Pinterest

On today's episode I'm chatting with Meagan Williamson. Meagan is a Pinterest consultant who’s workshop I attended last year and who helped me quadruple my blog traffic in just a few months. When I did her workshop, Meagan told us about the time she sold an engagement ring on Pinterest and made a ton of commission, a concept that was lost on me, since up until that point, I used Pinterest to plan my dream house. Moral of the story: Pinterest is the most powerful tool that small business owners can have in their arsenal. Pinterest tends to be one of those things that may mystify and confuse you. You may have heard stories about how great it can be, but you never quite understood how. This episode breaks it all down with actionable tips about how you can take your Pinterest game (and business) to the next level. #27 - Gabrielle Korn, Editor-In-Chief of NYLON Magazine: Publishing in the Digital Age, Diversity, Choosing Cover Stars, If Content Creators and Magazines Can Work Together, Productivity Hacks, How To Break Into Publishing and Pitching A Magazine

Today, I’m chatting with Gabrielle Korn, the youngest (and arguably, most progressive) Editor-in-Chief of Nylon Magazine. Gabrielle’s leadership was an integral part of taking Nylon from print to fully digital, and she has pushed racial and sexual diversity to be one of the core tenets of the magazine. In short, she’s a trailblazer. Gabrielle and I talk about everything from breaking into the world of publishing and how to get noticed if you’re just starting out, to pushing diversity and a varied dialogue, to a day in the life of an EIC, to her skincare and wellness routines. My conversation with Gabrielle was a breath of fresh air, and I wanted to share a quote from her, which is extremely powerful: “We’re strongly anti-racist, which is different from being inclusive because you talk about racism instead of just representing people”. Whether you’re trying to break into publishing or are interested in diversity in publishing, this is an episode that should not be missed.
