069. Thomas Janichon, co-founder of Team Sidas Matryx | Building and developing a pro trail running team

Thomas Janichon is a 28 year old trail runner from France and, with Simon Gossellin, he's the co-founder of Team Sidas Matryx.

Thomas is developing an elite professional team with an approach that is quite unusual in the sport of trail running, usually based on shoe companies sponsoring athletes. His project is actually more similar to the approach of a cycling team: Team Sidas matryx is an independent reality that operates thanks to the support of different partners, building an ecosystem around the athletes and answering their needs at 360°.

It was founded in 2019 and it’s kept growing and expanding over the years, being now one of the most established and competitive trail running teams in the world, especially in the shorter distances. The main aspect of this project is that it’s focused on the athletes, meaning that they are at the center of the attention, and everything is built around them in order to perform and grow as professionals and people.
