Dr. Strange 1978

Little does everybody know that Marvel was in the T.V. game years before the MCU became a thing. In 1978 Dr. Strange was airing at the same time that a replay of the classic tv series Roots. Well..... airing against Roots killed the overnight ratings for Dr. Strange and it didn't get picked up.....Go figure....
Dr. Strange was a master of the mystic arts in the comics and he kinda was in this. I mean it was an origin story but maybe it was an origin story for a different universe. They took a lot of liberties with the property and we don't think the world was ready. For the 70's though it wasn't half bad. Anyway, now that Doctor Strange 2 is postponed for a little while due to Covid-19 we thought this would be a good topic this week.
