Ali Javidan - CEO of Range Energy

Ali Javidan built race cars, the Model S prototype, and a new solution for trucking.

Ali is the founder and CEO of Range Energy, which has created a bolt-on hybrid system for semi-truck trailers. This is a way to add electrification to the trucking industry without going full Tesla. He is also the former head of prototyping at Tesla. The first Model S? He built it.

He explains how that prototype came to be; why Tesla won the charging wars (and who is to blame); why it's stupid to steal cable; and most importantly, his new company's big idea to improve trucking fuel economy by up to 40% without going EV.
