Full Police Interrogation - Grant Amato - Murdered His Family

Full Police Interrogation - Grant Amato - Murdered His Family Grant Amato - Police Interrogation - Family found shot dead, parents and brother A Florida man convicted of murdering his family over his relationship with a web cam girl was spared the death penalty Monday and instead will spend life behind bars. A jury recommended 30-year-old Grant Amato spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole for what prosecutors have said was the cold and calculated slayings of his parents, Chad and Margaret Amato, and brother Cody Amato on Jan. 24. Prosecutors contend Grant Amato killed his family after they demanded he cut off his relationship with a Bulgarian web cam model on an adult website, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Before the brutal slayings, Grant Amato had stolen approximately $200,000 from his father and brother to facilitate his relationship with the webcam model, named Silvie. Prosecutors believe Grant systematically killed each member of his family on Jan. 24, first killing his mother around 4:45 p.m. She was discovered “face-down dead at her computer desk,” prosecutor Stewart Stone told the jury. Grant then killed his father when he came home from work, before waiting for more than four hours with the dead bodies of his parents for his brother Cody to come home from work. Grant then shot Cody and staged the scene to look like an apparent murder-suicide, with Cody being the gunman, prosecutors said. However, police soon arrested Grant and charged him with the crimes. Grant’s surviving brother, Jason Amato, spoke in court Monday to describe his tremendous loss. “It’s hard to go through the grieving process when there are multiple losses and uncertainty in the future,” he said, according to local station WESH. “Through all this, though, I’m a proud Amato, and I will rise up smarter and stronger than before.” Prosecutors had sought the death penalty in the case, however, jurors were unable to reach the unanimous decision required in the state for capital punishment. Grant’s defense team had argued during the trial that the prosecution’s timeline for the murders did not fit the evidence. Defense attorney Jeff Dowdy described the jury’s decision to recommend life in prison “bittersweet.” “We fought hard for the guilt phase, unfortunately that did not go our way. But saving our client’s life, that’s the so-called prize in this. Our heart goes out to Jason Amato,” he said. The defense now plans to appeal the verdict. Prosecutors contend that the jury’s decision to opt for life in prison was likely made out of mercy. “I think it was a matter of pure mercy,” Stone said, according to WOFL. “It’s very difficult to get 12 people to agree to impose the death penalty. It’s a very difficult decision to do.”

Police Officer Arrests Her Supervisor

Police Officer Arrests Her Supervisor On January 1, 2021, Gainesville Police Department Corporal Scott W. Bertzyk was driving in the vicinity of 6200 W. Newberry Road in Gainesville, Florida, when he reached down for his lighter and crashed into a vehicle that had just started to move at a green traffic light. There were no injuries at the scene, however the people in the vehicle struck by Bertzyk subsequently sought medical care. Gainesville Police Officer Brooke Shutterly responded to the crash and immediately recognized Corporal "Bertie" Bertzyk as involved. According to the report of Officer Shutterly, "While investigating the crash I observed Bertzyk having difficulty maintaining balance. He was also slurring his words and had difficulty physically grasping his driver's license when I handed it back to him." After performing poorly on standardized field sobriety exercises, Bertzyk was arrested and eventually handcuffed at his own insistence. Bertzyk later provided two breath samples, which registered .156% BAC and .153% BAC. Post-Miranda, Bertzyk admitted that he had been drinking Bacardi and Diet Coke. Bertzyk was charged with driving under the influence with property damage, and eventually pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge. Bertzyk was sentenced to fines totaling $974, 50 hours of community service, various substance abuse and DUI classes, and a six-month driver's license suspension. Bertzyk was subsequently sued by the driver and passenger of the vehicle he struck, and a settlement was reached in that case.   A subsequent internal investigation by the Gainesville Police Department concluded that Corporal Bertzyk violated City of Gainesville Policy E-3, Rule 44A, "Pleading guilty or nolo contendere to, or being found guilty by a jury or court of a misdemeanor involving physical violence, theft, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or possession or sale of drugs, regardless of whether or not adjudication is withheld and probation is imposed." Corporal Bertzyk received a written "employee notice," a five-day (40 hour) suspension without pay, and the execution of a Last Chance Agreement and Release. In the course of the Internal Affairs investigation, Corporal Bertzyk alleged that he was not impaired at the time of the crash, and that he had prepared and consumed a very strong alcoholic drink during the course of the crash investigation

"He's just mad at me cause I'm not trying to f&*k": Police Bodycam of Exotic Dancer in Stolen Car

"He's just mad at me cause I'm not trying to f&*k": Police Bodycam of Exotic Dancer in Stolen Car On October 27, 2023 at around 7:40 PM Officer Joseph Fuardo with the Secaucus Police Department observed a gray colored Honda CRV swerving on the road with no lights on. As Officer Fuardo began his investigation he noted that the vehicle had a single white female occupant within. A check of the vehicle registration revealed the vehicle to be stolen out of Patterson, NJ. As Officer Fuardo prepared to conduct a felony stop on the vehicle he awaited additional backup officers. Once backup arrived a felony traffic stop was initiated. While attempting to instruct the driver to exit the vehicle, the vehicle began backing, colliding with the push bumper of Ofc. Fuardo’s police vehicle. Eventually, the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Rosemary Torres, was removed and detained as the sole occupant of the vehicle. Torres stated upon exiting the vehicle: “I didn’t know the car was stolen, he didn’t tell me it was stolen. He’s just mad at me cause I’m not trying to fuck”. Torres was secured in the rear of a police vehicle while the investigation into the recovery of the stolen vehicle was conducted. While in custody, Torres made statements to another on-scene officer that the owner of the vehicle had left the keys on the table at the strip club. Torres stated “I saw it, I took it” with regard to the vehicle keys left on the table at the strip club. Further conversation with Torres revealed that she dances at the club where the theft occurred, Sunrise Sports Go Go Strip Club in Patterson, NJ. Officer Fuardo then, in furtherance of his investigation conducted field sobriety tests on Torres in which the video shows Torres being unable to follow instructions or balance herself several times. Torres is then placed back into the rear of the police vehicle. No charges for DWI were placed against her in reference to this incident. Torres was eventually transported to the police station for processing and later remanded to the Hudson County jail for an outstanding warrant and a new charge of receiving stolen property for being in possession of the stolen vehicle. It does not appear at this time that Torres has been charged by Patterson for the actual theft of the vehicle.

"I'm pregnant with Rick Ross's baby!" | Woman Arrested at Rick Ross's Mansion

On October 14, 2021, officers with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 235-acre, 109-room mansion of William Leonard Roberts II. Roberts is better-known as the rapper "Rick Ross," and his expansive estate previously belonged to boxer Evander Holyfield before it fell into foreclosure and was purchased by Roberts. From the report of Deputy Donald Warney, lightly edited for clarity and brevity: On October 14, 2021, at approximately 3:56 pm, Lieutenant Kersey and I responded to [an address] in reference to a female trespassing on property belonging to William Roberts, AKA "Rick Ross." On my arrival, Lt. Kersey and I walked up to the pool area behind the residence where Precious Bridgeman, the trespasser, was standing next to a security guard who was also the complainant — Gary Summers. Summers advised that Roberts does not know Bridgeman and that she needed to leave the residence. Earlier that same day, Summers had asked Bridgeman to leave and advised her that she would be trespassing if she came onto the property, but she found an opening in the gate and ran through it, after which she ran to Roberts' pool and jumped in. Lt. Kersey placed Bridgeman in handcuffs. Bridgeman stated she was there for a photo shoot, that she is married to Rick Ross, that she lives at Rick Ross's house, and that she is pregnant with Rick Ross's twins. A searched of her purse turned up a small amount of marijuana. Bridgeman was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass and possession of marijuana. Stay tuned to learn what happened next.
