Tonight on Trackside, Kevin Lee and Curt Cavin preview this weekend’s Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway. The two discuss the group of drivers that will run laps on Friday to help rub in a 2nd lane at the oval, as well as the schedule in motorsports leading up to the Saturday night race. Then, Kevin and Curt take a look at the championship standings with three races left and other contenders in Madison, Illinois.

The conversation switches to Texas Motor Speedway renovations and a change of leadership on the horizon for the track. To round out the first hour, Kevin and Curt take another look at what’s happening this weekend across motorsports.

To kick off the second hour, two-time NTT IndyCar Series race winner Scott McLaughlin joins the show (at 44:01) to discuss an up and down weekend in Nashville that saw him start on pole, fall to the back and return to the front and finish second. Then, Scott discusses his comfortability in an IndyCar at this point, his success on ovals and driving standards in the series. To round out the conversation, Kevin and Curt ask the driver about Friday’s early session to rub in a 2nd lane, this weekend’s oval and, of all things, spicy foods.

Our News of the Day, brought to you by the Indianapolis Speedrome and Circle City Raceway, is a new confirmation for 2023. Christian Lundgaard and Rahal Letterman Lanigan have agreed to a restructured deal for multiple years. To round out the show, Kevin and Curt have a conversation about driver futures and answer Twitter questions.

Tonight, on Trackside with Kevin Lee and Curt Cavin, Romain Grosjean has a new home, this time with Juncos Hollinger Racing. The two talk about what this means for the team. More importantly, how Grosjean will mesh with Juncos and how he will mesh with his new teammate, Agustín Canapino. They also talk about Callum Ilott and his future in IndyCar. They also talk about who will be racing for Foyt next season.  Later in the first hour of the show, Kevin answers some tweets including one about Sergio Perez coming to IndyCar. They address the IndyCar game, and the possibility of more international races in the near future.  Kevin rounds out the first hour discussing Marcus Armstrong competing in the Macau Grand Prix F3 race, and James Hinchcliffe doing another Sky Sports F1 broadcast.  In the second hour of the show, Kevin and Curt talk about Indiana weather, NASCAR’s championship conclusion, and Carson Hocevar’s incident with Corey Heim where the two took each other out and cost. They also talk about Kyle Larson turning his first laps in an IndyCar at the test. The two looks at the weather conditions for the day and what to expect from the hybrid motor in testing. They delve into legal matters involving Romain Grosjean. Following that, they talk about where Grosjean may end up for next year.   Later in the first hour of the show, Kevin and Curt discuss Robert Wickens’ performance in the Michelin Pilot Challenge. Kevin gives an update on how the sports car race at IMS went over the weekend and how his son Jackson performed. Curt previews a new event coming to IMS that will really shine, and how the event will benefit the track. The two also answer some fan questions.
