After Alissa's father, Michael Guernsey, died in a car crash on I-69 S in DeKalb County, Kelli relapsed into her addictive behaviors. What was supposed to be a short term placement with family members quickly turned into a nightmare for Alissa, who quickly became used as Christy's personal punching bag.
