The Amber Bobo Case | Mom Leaves Daughter Alone With A Man She Just Met

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Laconia, New Hampshire... a place that's really important to them, to discuss the tragic case of Dennis "Boo" Vaughan, a little boy who never had a chance at life.  After being born to a young mother and an abusive father who was in his 50's (both who were experiencing substance use issues at the time), Dennis and his siblings went to live with his grandmother, Sherry Connor. The problem was, Sherry was also extremely abusive, so Dennis wasn't safe in either environment. Her father, James Smith, not only sexually assaulted her and her sister, but raped and attempted to kill a woman in North Carolina. Her mother, Kelly Turner, began blogging about her daughter's fake illnesses, and bullied countless surgeons at the Children's Hospital of Colorado into performing dangerous and unnecessary procedures on little Olivia. Kelly collected thousands of dollars in charitable donations, gifts, and state benefits on behalf of her "sick" daughter. In the end, Olivia passed away after being starved to death in hospice.
