The Case of Dena Schlosser

This week, Drewby and Yergy discuss the case of Dena Schlosser, a Texas mother who struggled with postpartum psychosis that was exacerbated by religious zealotry. On November 22, 2004, Dena used a steak knife to amputate the arms of her eleven-month-old daughter, Margaret, who died as a result. Hours after her arrest, police heard her repeatedly chanting, "Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord."
