Little Known Truths About The Entrepreneurs Mindset [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

Little Known Truths About The Entrepreneurs Mindset [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

Like the dark side of the Force, the negative energy brought by some factors can sway an entrepreneur’s mindset. There are the bashers, the mistakes, the failures, the fears, the limitations, and other things. In this episode of The Disruptive Entrepreneur Podcast, Rob talks to Ryan Pinnick, the Founder & CEO of SuperGenius Ltd. Rob and Ryan discuss the importance of having a stable and undefeatable mindset. An entrepreneur can be at an advantage and most probably be more successful if he knows his way to managing his own emotions and behaviour. Every move, every reaction, can affect the next plans. Yes, this can be likened to a domino effect. So, as much as possible, know how you can harness an extreme energy for the better where you can benefit yourself and the surrounding people. Ryan shares some techniques on how you can train your mind into doing it today, so don’t miss this insightful conversation. KEY TAKEAWAYS In Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich, he shared that the ultimate reason people fail is because of their inability to transform negative energy (sadness, shame, frustration, anger, etc.)into something valuable. Learn to master your positive and negative tensions, so you can be mindful of your behaviour, your reactions, your language, etc. when you encounter something on the extremes. Focus on the more important things (i.e. your purpose) rather than your emotions. Know how to sway from self-loathing and self-pity and direct your attention to a creative idea, a nurturing place, or a happy memory where you can transmute the negative energy. Before you react, understand your emotions. Do nothing in a whim that you will regret afterwards. Sometimes, when we’re feeling too low or too high in our emotions, reactions become automatic. Breathe first, take a break, and start thinking of the actions you’re about to take. Self-awareness goes a long way. What are you feeling? What form does it want to be released? How can you transform it to something better? When you’ve mastered self-awareness, you don’t take things personally and you see every external factor that might have affected the situation. You understand it more. It’s not always rainbows and unicorns when you traverse your entrepreneurial journey. There will be a lot of failures and mistakes even how prepared you are. As much as possible, learn how to disassociate yourself with the negative energies this brings and to focus instead on the ultimate goal. “Happiness is the reward, not the purpose.” Always aim to grow and improve yourself. Continue learning and continue giving value. Enjoy the small victories. Gratitude and appreciation to everything that happens in your journey can motivate you to hustle more towards your end goal. BEST MOMENTS “It’s good to have a perspective on what can happen potentially on the downsides.” “Tension’s got to go somewhere.” “You can’t deny your emotions.” “As we create a way out of pain, we actually can take more pain on.” “Challenge creates growth.” “Don’t wish it were easier; get better!” “As an entrepreneur, essentially, what we do is we find the world’s biggest problems and we solve them for profit.” “If it gets difficult, just keep going.” “The purpose of life is growth and self-actualisation.” ABOUT THE GUEST Ryan Pinnick is the CEO & Founder of SuperGenius, a training and mentoring provider based in the UK and have been running workshops since 2015. Caffeine Cast: How Fast Should You Really Grow [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

Caffeine Cast: How Fast Should You Really Grow [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

“I believe you can grow too fast, if you’re just obsessed about growth, things will break” Growing your business empire is a goal for most entrepreneurs, but how do you do this successfully? In this episode of the Disruptive Entrepreneur, Rob discusses Growth. He discloses his top tips on how to grow your company's success as well as discussing common shortfalls of how attempting growth can fail. Listen today to find out more about how to grow your company. KEY TAKEAWAYS REDUCE YOUR RISKS- Collaborate. Reduce your risks in the testing phase or growing your company. Progressive is looking to expand globally. Test by using a partner, they will have their own contacts, their own resources. That way, I don’t create overheads, I don’t create fixed costs and I don’t really have much risks. I am a big believer in collaborations, I know a hugely successful events company, and I always wondered how they consistently filled out huge events. I then found out they have a central company in America, and then what they do they find the big promoters in the countries and they partner with that promoter. They have one hub and they have global partnerships, that dramatically reduce your risks. If you’re in property, just see every new purchase, builder or mortgage as a test. Then, when you find a good one, do everything you can to keep them and that partnership. PUSHING GROWTH- Capacity How far do you push growth? I think this depends on your personality,  your available resources, experience, your systems, your capacity your capital resources, human resources, etc. There is no hard and fast rule. You want to build a good sense of self-awareness. What is your capacity for what you can take on? There is a really fine line between being on fire and being overwhelmed. Growth forces you to improve your systems, improve your mindset. Sometimes, being pushed too much is fine, but I think you have to test the capacity of what breaks. What is your previous experience? For example, if you have never bought a buy to let before, how do you know how many you can handle? I have business mentors that have a mindset ‘don’t hire anybody until something breaks’ I would have other people that would argue ‘hire in first, so things don’t break’. A common entrepreneurial trait is to never say no. This is both a blessing and a curse. Remember, when you get to maximum capacity, you need to learn when to say no. WHAT IS YOUR END GOAL? What do you want from this business? Some people want a lifestyle business, they want a passive, recurring income. They want to work from their laptops for a few hours a week. If this is your goal, you must learn to say no. You have to slow growth down. If you want to be an active entrepreneur, you may have just a year to replace your income. You have the time and desire to hustle hard you can then take on a lot more. It is the continual building of self-awareness to know what your limits are. CONTACTS You have to build your contacts. If you have three really good brokers, you can probably buy a few deals simultaneously, if you have never used one before, then you have to go through the pain of finding one. If you have refurb teams, that you can entrust to run multiple contacts simultaneously then you can handle the capacity to do multiple refurbs at one. If you’ve not got this, then you would be unable to do this. Growing your contacts will grow your business. CAPITAL The available capital that you have to spend on growing your business will reflect the growth. If you have more than enough capital, you can scale a bit quicker. If you do not have this, then the growth phase will take longer. BEST MOMENTS “Some people often say that in order for businesses to be successful they have to be ever-growing, I'm not sure I agree with that”   “I believe you can grow to fast” “if you’re just obsessed about growth, things will break”   “Growth forces you to improve your systems, improve your capacity, your mindset.”   “find and hire smart people to give them a little bit too much to do and then get out of their way and let them do it”   [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   https://robmoore.com/podbooks  rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. David McCourt: Billionaire Media Mogul, Producer & Entrepreneur [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

David McCourt: Billionaire Media Mogul, Producer & Entrepreneur [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

‘Why would you not live an extraordinary life over an ordinary life when you have the choice?’ Rob is interviewing David McCourt, billionaire businessman described by ‘The Economist’ as having ‘impeccable credentials’  Over the last thirty years he has founded multiple successful companies and is one of the world’s most successful award-winning entrepreneurs with an Emmy award and a personal worth in excess of 1 billion. They discuss inspirational films, books, money, motivation and why David is only just getting started. This is an incredibly inspiring and motivational episode with huge value,  you will want to listen to it more than once get started now!   KEY TAKEAWAYS Money There are so many other more interesting things you can do with your money than buy stuff People have stuff because they want you to believe they are rich, smart, powerful and handsome. You could use your money to start a business, grow a business, help a charity to get started, help someone else, start a business or buy land and give it to conservation. My attitude towards money and wealth hasn’t changed over time. I know a lot more now about life and business relationships, what I want to accomplish in my life and what I don’t want to waste my time on. It’s important to recognise that lots of people don’t have money so if you do you have no right to squander it you should use it to build value and solve problems create jobs You should try to move the ball down the field for other people. Entrepreneurship For years incremental thinking was enough but now things are moving so fast we need a total rethink to solve problems. Don’t be afraid of failing because your ‘plan B’ will be better than your ‘plan A’ Your ‘plan B’ by definition will be more successful than your ‘plan A’  because you already know what not to do. If you want to be an entrepreneur you can’t be afraid of what others think and say you’ve got to always be moving forward and never back. Strength and weakness In everything, the focus is on improving areas of weakness but the statistical data that suggests you can only make marginal improvements to your areas of weakness but you can improve in your areas of strength almost infinitely. The system finds it easier to put everyone in the same box and this results in lots of people who look and sound the same. Everyone is good at something and that something is what the individual should focus on not worrying about the things they are not good at and improvement can be almost infinite.  The media There are now so many content distributers it’s a content creators world but you have to be able to survive and make money. It’s a fantastic new world for good content creators, if you follow a trend you can make money but if you follow a fad you’ll go broke. A Total Rethink - Entrepreneurs should act like  revolutionaries   There is a story that needs to be told. The world has been operating with a basis of incremental change in business and in life since the industrial revolution but now everything is moving so fast we need to change the way we look at the problems. A change in approach and thinking is necessary for the planet and also offers great opportunities for making money. The book doesn’t solve all the problems but it highlights the big problems and highlights how I’ve solved similar problems with suggestions of how we could solve some of the global problems based on my personal experience. Motivation Why would you live an ordinary life when you don’t have to? Money is not my motivation and I’m just getting started everything I’ve learnt up until this point is for what I’m going to do next and I haven’t yet done the big thing I’m meant to do.   BEST MOMENTS ‘It isn’t a political problem it’s a global problem and the business opportunity is in solving the problems’ ‘People have to work out what makes them happy in life’ ‘If they see a problem that they want to solve why would they not take a chance for  happiness’ ‘The only equaliser between us all is time’ ‘It's way easier to buy something than start something’ [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   https://robmoore.com/podbooks  rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Caffeine Cast: Solutions to Depression & Anxiety as an Entrepreneur [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

A lot of people can seem and look happy and bubbly externally but when it comes down to how they’re actually feeling, more and more people are struggling with negative emotions which can spiral into things such as depression. So in this episode, Rob discusses how he manages his emotions in a positive, productive way that also uplifts him when he is struggling himself.  KEY TAKEAWAYS  The more people I talk to recently are struggling with the loneliness, challenges, anxiety and depression. All of these things can come from comparing yourself to others.   All of the challenges that make you feel unmotivated and not want to do anything within business and life that aren’t extreme is what we’re dealing with in this episode.  If you’re feeling any of these negative emotions, try to convert the strong feelings into something productive. It can really end lifting you up.   My podcast, coaching calls, books and work essentially is the way I turn around that force into something productive.  I know that no matter how bad my day has been; I know I can turn it into something great. I often even find that the worse time I’m having, the better I am as a mentor, coach, leader, creator etc...  There is way more people struggling that we realise and I think we need to spread the word a lot more so please share this. It’s ok to share how you’re feeling.  BEST MOMENTS  ‘My art and work and business is also my therapy’  ‘Energy can’t be created or destroyed, it just changes form’  ‘End the day on something positive.’  ‘You can convert your pain into your brand’  [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   https://robmoore.com/podbooks  rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. How to Create an Elegant Sales Formula (LIVE) [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

How to Create an Elegant Sales Formula (LIVE) [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

Marketing is the engine of every business and it drives the revenue for every department. But how do you master marketing, increase your inbound sales and reduce the pressure on your sales team? The answer...The Elegant Sales Formula. Over the past decade, Rob has developed a proven sales formula that mixes content with relevancy to increase sales without you even having to pick up the phone. Listen in now to discover more.    KEY TAKEAWAYS  Imagine a shop. Sales is when somebody visits your shop and is cross-sold and upsold but Marketing is getting that somebody into the shop in the first place. Marketing is the lifeblood of your business and where all the income comes from.   If your marketing is good it reduces the friction in the sales and you become less reliant on sales  Marketing increases sales  Marketing is inbound and generates leads, interest, referrals and clients. Sales is outbound focused.    How to flip your perception of sales using the Elegant Sales formula   Mindmap your product journey and build out solutions to your customer's problems that develop into product or service offerings, as a result, you will reduce the friction at each point of sale. Don’t overwhelm your clients with a horizontal sales suite. Offer multiple verticles so you can offer your customers the most relevant product offering.   Produce enough content that’s commercially beneficial and you become the logical choice for your niche. Aim to create 7-10 hours of connection, engagement and rapport before selling, this way they’ll feel confident paying for your product or service and as they enter your product suite it needs to have multiple verticles. You want to show your customers and clients only the next imminent thing that’s relevant to them.     BEST MOMENTS  “Marketing is the lifeblood of your business and where all the income comes from”  “In your first three hires, you need to employ somebody you does your marketing. In the beginning, I was sales, marketing, brand and everything”  “I realised pretty quickly that marketing is the engine of the business”  “22 of my 75 staff are hands on the ground and dedicated to marketing functions”  “Relevant sales reduce the friction between the customer and the transaction.“  “Producing lots of content creates low friction and high trust”    [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   https://robmoore.com/podbooks  rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Caffeine Cast: How to Build Self Confidence (in Business) [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

It’s an uphill battle to try and change your environment, to try and change the way your friends and your family act towards you, in fact, it’s much easier and much more successful to work on yourself. In today’s episode of The Disruptive Entrepreneur, Rob takes you live to an open Q&A event where he answers questions on negativity, mentors and taking advice. You’re friends and family may come accross negative but it’s only because they care. What you can do to overcome negativity: Go out more, be home a little less and When you’re working on your vision, do it without others distraction. Always ask yourself, are they qualified to give you the advice? Because it’s vital where you take your advice from and you need to be very mindful by asking these questions: Do you respect what they’ve done Have they got the proven results you’re after Are you going to implement what they tell you   BEST MOMENTS “Ignore the negativity, even if it's from those close to you. It’s because they care about you that they’re negative” “Change your perception of how people act towards you and the reality around you will change” “Not everyone is against you they’re acting that way because they care” “Only pure ignorance can deny results” “Why have a dog and bark yourself” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   https://robmoore.com/podbooks  rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. How to Survive the Chaos in Business [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

How to Survive the Chaos in Business [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

Have you ever wondered how you would survive in business? Have you ever considered how to grow your company whilst avoiding the chaos and breakages every start-up faces? Well, in today’s episode of Disruptors, you’re about to find out! Tune in to hear Rob dive into business survival and discuss the things that break the disruption of growth. Discover how to overcome the challenges and difficulties your business will inevitably face as you grow in size and influence and learn how to focus on surviving and thriving regardless of the chaos around you.   KEY TAKEAWAYS The Growth Paradox Growth is the thing all entrepreneurs strive for. It’s what drives us forward each year but when is it ever enough? Because the faster you grow the more things break and the faster they break. However, if you’re okay with dealing with the breakages of growth it’s okay to grow aggressively The harder you grow the more chaos and disruption there is so, balance your growth plans with something that realistic and achievable but that’s also exciting.   Overwhelm & Delegation As you grow you need to begin to delegate and outsource all of the things that you used to do because now you will be overwhelmed. But whatever you do, don’t overgrow and under delivery, ensure you plan throughout your growth so you’re prepared for the overwhelm when it comes. Always be proactive to growth and not reactive, but regardless, always grow. Sometimes it’s better to launch a campaign without the planning and cause the growth without any order or plan in place. If you have the right team around you, the order will come afterwards. Growth is followed by order and vice versa, it’s the cycle of a growing business.   Culture Shifts Train help and support other members of staff. You can’t be selfish anymore and you need to build a team around you with systems and documents to run the day-to-day business so you can focus on the growth. As you grow and embrace your team you’ll discover a level of leverage and management, now it’s important to save time by hiring and training others, however, with this mean you’ll need to have performance plans, management KPI’s and go through a culture change as your business grows.   Layers Of Management As you get bigger you need layers of management in your business and you need to begin to work less but watch and observe more. Avoid the natural entrepreneur tendencies to always work and begin to work on your business rather than in your business. With the growth and the layers of management, you start to find staff that hide and do not necessarily pull their weight for the business. Always be prepared for the culture shifts and ready for growth but don’t lose your one-man-band, innovative feel because that’s your growth area.   Freedom Ultimately you have freedom by owning the business however you’re responsible for the business, your brand, your online presence and the careers of those that work with you to achieve the businesses goals. People don’t work for you, everyone works for themselves and they use you in their life if you meet there values and needs. If this is the case, loyalty will be created. Therefore, if you understand your employee’s and their motivations the chance of a fruitful working relationship increases and breeds longevity. Always look to hire ambitious people that are invested in their career growth and try to meet their needs and relate to their values.   Management Of Your Emotions Become a leader by owning your business and inspiring your staff. You can't manage with your emotions. Don’t let your emotions control your actions and instead focus on your business, train your staff and develop systems in your business. Often we react emotionally because something has touched a nerve and we act before we can speak. Most of the time the best way to handle a situation with critics, trolls and haters is to say nothing and simply focus on your business and serving your customers.   Competitors Don’t hate your competitors be obsessed about learning from them, but don’t let it compromise your own focus and vision for your business to grow. Your competitors should energise you and your business so focus on your clients more than your competition. Always look to serve your customers to the best of your ability. See your competition as someone that keeps you lean, motivated and hungry to grow and improve your product offering. Increased competition in your market place is a good thing, it pushes the industry forward and increases exposure for everyone operating in the market place.     BEST MOMENTS“When growing your business you’ll face chaos, breakages, challenges and difficulties” “There’s a great upside to knowing all of the challenges you’ll face in business, the legalities, the competition and how to innovate through difficult markets and grow through recessions.” “I work for my team and provide them with what they need.” “Discipline equals freedom and hardcore accountability leads to freedom” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   https://robmoore.com/podbooks  rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Caffeine Cast: What Dr John Demartini Taught me About Life (LIVE) [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

Caffeine Cast: What Dr John Demartini Taught me About Life (LIVE) [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

We worry what people think about us but some common false assumptions that people make is that we can make everyone like us and that they’re thinking about us all of the time. One of the most important and liberating things is to accept that there will always be people who support you and people who don’t. KEY TAKEAWAYS In any time and space there will be someone who loves you, someone who loathes you, someone who supports you, someone who challenges you, someone who stands against you and someone who doesn’t like you. It’s likely that someone on this plant has very similar values to you but it’s also very likely that there is someone who has the complete opposite values to you. Those who have similar values to you will support you and those who have opposite values to you will challenge you. For humanity as a group to be better, individuals have to be better and to be better we have to interdependently serve each other. We all produce and consume for each other which means we all have to be better at different things. No matter who you are there will always be someone who supports you and someone who doesn’t support you. Accepting that is liberating. When you don’t put yourself out there because you’re scared of critics, you don’t actually have any less critics, you just don’t know who they are yet because you haven’t put yourself our there. BEST MOMENTS ‘Every human has an individual set of values that are most important to them in their life’ ‘Everybody is different and no two people are the same’ ‘Evolution seems to be to me a random selection of improvement of genetics.’ ‘Be stronger not weaker, be better not worse.’ [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter   https://robmoore.com/podbooks  rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator.
