Day 22: Genesis 30-31

Today on Meditating the Word, Leah and Rachel have a baby competition, giving their servants to Jacob as wives. Jacob agrees to work for Laban in exchange for flocks. Laban and his sons become jealous over his prosperity, so Jacob loads up his family and possessions and heads back to his home.

This is Day 22. Today we'll be reading Genesis Chapters 30-31.

Father God, people will betray us... sometimes even our own relatives. But you are always there, always faithful. If you are for us, who can be against us. When we are mistreated and taken advantage of, you set things right. We will be diligent, honest and faithful in the work of our hands, Father, because you are the creator of all things, and all things belong to you. Thank you for all the blessings and benefits that come from serving you. Amen
