Day 41: Exodus 33-35

Today on Meditating the Word, Moses sees the glory of God from a cleft in the rock; New Stone Tablets are carved; Moses's radiant face scares the children of Israel; the people bring free will offerings to the Lord.

This is Day 41. Today we are reading Exodus Chapters 33-35.

Father God, As we read about your instructions, once again we realize, you look on the heart. You didn't command all of the children of Israel to bring offerings, and you didn't command all of them to work on the tabernacle and its furnishings. You asked that whoever's heart was willing, bring a free will offering, and whoever's heart was willing, serve. You haven't changed, Father. You want us to want to serve you and to do so willingly, not out of obligation. Like Bezalel, fill us, Father, with Holy Spirit, with wisdom, understanding and knowledge, so that we can serve you better. Amen
